Ashok Panikkar - Indischer Konfliktforscher in Graz

Dienstag, 14.04.2015

Der indische Mediationsexperte Ashok Panikkar vom Meta-Culture Conflict Resolution Center Bangalore ist im April zu Gast in Graz.

Wir laden Sie sehr herzlich zu folgenden Workshops ein:

Achieving Win-Win Agreements in the South Asian Context

29.4. 17.00-20.00 / Zentrum für Soziale Kompetenz, Merangasse 12, EG, SR 55.03

This is a very brief introduction to the challenges of using the Interest-Based or Principled Negotiation model in the South Asian Business context. During this 3 hour Segment, we will share some interesting case studies of successes and failures in using Win-Win and collaborative processes in South Asia.

In diesem Workshop werden Grundkenntnisse zum Thema Negotiation vorausgesetzt!

Humor in Mediation: A creative Tool or an Indulgence

30.4. 17.00-20.00 / Zentrum für Soziale Kompetenz, Merangasse 12, EG, SR 55.03

This workshop will explore how mediators can bring humour into a conflict environment. Humour can be used as a way to release tension; bring lightness into an otherwise 'heavy' environment; make the problem appear more manageable; and also to help conflicting parties put themselves at ease so that they can re-create familiarity and re-build the comfort in the relationship.

However, using humour can be risky given that there are so many emotional, cultural and power dynamics at play in a conflict situation. Can a mediator use humour irrespective of the nature of the conflict under consideration? How can a mediator use her own skills and personality to find her own unique style of humour? How can a mediator figure out how comfortable he is in using humour as a tool in mediation? Where, in a mediation, should humour never be used?

In diesem Workshop werden Grundkenntnisse zum Thema Mediation vorausgesetzt!
